The Province of the Immaculate Conception has gathered its collection of Franciscan books at the Blessed Duns Scotus Library in Manhattan with the hope of making these resources more widely accessible for research and education. Over the last few years, the work of the library staff has been to catalogue the Franciscana resources to make them more accessible.
The Library serves as a resource for research and education:- for the friars of the province, especialy for the friars in studies and working in formation;
- for Franciscans of the Greater New York City area;
- for anyone involed in an academic Franciscan project;
- for commisions and committees of the Order to facilitate their work and service;
- for the 24 schools of the Association of Franciscan Colleges and Univesities (AFCU) in the USA.
The Blessed John Duns Scotus Library offers special lecture twice annually. Among the presenters were:

Fr. Michael Della Penna, OFM- The Crucified Knight (video provided)
Fr. Richard Martignetti, OFM- St. Bonaventure's 'Tree of Life' (video provided)
Sr. Clare D'Auria, OSF- The Charism of Clare of Assisi, 'Lead Kindly Light'
